Time comes home - The Dial - Home of Meantime returns to Greenwich

Updated: Oct 24

Some things just belong in certain places. Greenwich, the home of time, where Meantime’s story began back in 1999. And it’s about to be reborn in the best way possible.

We’ve been working on our most exciting partnership ever to bring this iconic beer brand back to the place where time was born - introducing The Dial - Home of Meantime. A three-floor venue for beer lovers, foodies, music fans, and locals looking for something special, right in the heart of the Greenwich Peninsula.

This collaboration between KG Hospitality and Meantime is designed to create a venue which the Greenwich Peninsula community can be proud of and enjoy.

Just a stone’s throw from North Greenwich Station and iconic O2 Arena, The Dial is part working microbrewery, part restaurant and sports bar, part live music bar and is topped off with a 360° rooftop bar offering panoramic views of London’s iconic skyline. Basically: all your favourite things under one very stylish roof.

Brewing tradition meets innovation

Meantime has been pushing boundaries since it started - founded in Greenwich by Alastair Hook, the brewery helped shape the UK craft beer movement, proving that good things really do take time.

Now, Head Brewer Sven Hartmann and the team are bringing that same experimental spirit to The Dial’s 6HL microbrewery, brewing fresh, limited-edition beers on-site, revisiting classics like the much-loved Yakima Red Ale, and dreaming up new creations to keep things interesting.

More than a venue

For us here at KG Hospitality, The Dial marks another exciting chapter. This is our third venue and is built on location and locality.

With iconic London spot Amazing Grace in London Bridge already under our belt and a second Canary Wharf venue opening next month, The Dials opens as a love letter to community, creativity, and craft.

Starting the clock

The journey to The Dial officially began with ‘Start the Clock’ - an intimate event that brought together the teams from Meantime, Asahi, KG Hospitality, and Knight Dragon - the visionaries behind Greenwich Peninsula’s transformation.

Local councillors joined to show their support as the community came together to celebrate the countdown to opening day. It was a moment that captured what The Dial is all about: connection, collaboration, and a shared passion for what makes Greenwich great.

The countdown is on

The Dial – Home of Meantime opens its doors this November, bringing bold flavours, live music, and a little bit of history full circle.

Time to raise a glass, Greenwich - it’s almost time. 🍻
